About me

My name is Dr. Verena Ritter-Döring

I have 12 years of expertise in financial regulatory law. Having worked as a lawyer in London and Frankfurt, I have extensive experience in regulatory and investment law. In addition to traditional licensing procedures and all issues relating to organisational compliance, my practice also includes product and fund structuring, outsourcing and the implementation of new regulatory requirements (MiFID II, PSD II, BMR, Basel IV, EMIR, MAR, Benchmark Regulation, etc.). Furthermore, I am very familiar with the national and European supervisory authorities (BaFin, Deutsche Bundesbank, ECB) and have already been involved in various legislative processes. Currently, an important focus for me is the new ESG regulation on the way to a sustainable financial market. Since spring 2021, I have headed up the Regulatory, Asset Management & Funds practice at Taylor Wessing’s Frankfurt office. In addition to German and internationally active banks and financial services companies, I also advise payment and e-money institutions as well as established companies, start-ups and IT service providers looking to gain a foothold in the regulated financial market.
